Why Cambridge curriculum?
It helps children develop the knowledge, understanding and skills they need for the next stage in their education – whether they move on to Cambridge Primary or another programme.
It is a child-centred, play-based programme that helps young learners to develop at their own pace. It encourages them to act independently, make their own choices and discover feelings of self-worth.
It supports learners, whatever their level of English when they begin the programme. We also help you offer a bilingual or multilingual approach if learners have a home language other than English.

Dear parents and guardians, I am Dr. Rida El-mehdawe and it is my great pleasure to introduce you to Windsor International School (WIS)!
Opening this summer with (enter classes) and hoping to (include high school and whatever classes you don’t have) within the coming years with your support.
Windsor International School (WIS) will focus on child development with new contemporary ways of learning. We will implement a growth mindset where there will always be room to grow for both your children and our team. We plan on integrating technology and current events within our lessons so that your children are not just academically stimulated but also aware of their social surroundings.
A little about my experiences and background in education,
I have a Ph.D. from the University of Windsor and I have been teaching for over 20 years. I have travelled the world teaching in different countries such as China, Russia, America, Canada, The Middle East and more. What I learned was how beautiful every culture was and each country had different expectations and methods of teaching for their students. I had the privilege to learn and experience this throughout my teaching career.
Two years ago I came to Africa (Uganda) and I discovered that this is by far the most beautiful place I have been to in regards to both the people and the nature. I feel welcomed wherever I go and the community here has made me feel at home. Having said that, I decided to open a school here where I can share all of my knowledge and experiences and live the rest of my life in this beautiful country.
I hope that I have your support today and for years to come. With each other's help, I am sure that Windsor International School will be a pillar in the community.
About Us
Windsor International School, located in Kampala, Uganda, has been dedicated to delivering a Cambridge International curriculum. Our primary focus is to cultivate well-rounded young individuals who are poised for success in secondary and tertiary education. The Cambridge Assessment International Education, renowned for its academic rigour, has been specifically designed to prepare students for this purpose. Additionally, students at Alma Mater have the opportunity to pursue A-Levels, particularly beneficial for those aspiring to enter highly specialized fields.
